Lockdown Workshop — Impressions Multiples fair (11.28.2020 - online)

Locked-down publishing

During a two-hour workshop with 15 students, we experimented with the collaboration features of do•doc. We came up with a little game in the spirit of “conditional design” to design posters with many hands, on the theme: “publishing in lockdown”.

How to play?

STEP 1 (15 min)

Everyone imports five items into the library of a do•doc project:

• 1 gif
• 1 image
• 1 sound
• 1 text
• 1 vector element

STEP 2 (5 min)

Form teams of 5 people and decide on an order.
The first person picks any graphic element from the library, places it on the poster, positions and resizes it as they wish, then locks the element.
The second person picks a gif and does the same.
The third person picks a text and does the same.
The fourth person picks an image and does the same.
The fifth person picks a sound and does the same.

NB: Each person has one minute. All display options are available (opacity, blend modes, mask...).

STEP 3 (5 min)

Repeat step 2, switching roles.
